Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school

Wollongong Network of Schools SRC Meeting
Our school leads the way in Student Leadership, voice and agency. Every term, we host the Wollongong Network Student Representative Council (SRC) meeting, which is a gathering of students from over 20 local schools. They share ideas and initiatives and are challenged to think critically and creatively about their leadership and impact at their own schools.

Annual Book Parade
One of the most anticipated events on the school calendar is our Book Parade. Based on a theme each year, our students are encouraged to focus on their love of reading and their creative flair to come dressed as their favourite character. Even the teachers take part!

School Musical
Every second year, we perform a school musical, with every student actively involved in dancing, acting, singing or tech and stage support. It's a wonderful showcase of the creative arts at our school. In the off-year, we participate in Southern Stars - The Arena Spectacular, a whole of NSW event held at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre.

Sports Carnivals
Our sports carnivals are strongly supported by the entire school community, with our Cross Country hosting a range of other sporting opportunities for students to try, in addition to the cross country race around the school. Opportunities to try out golf, basketball, tennis, touch football and hockey during this carnival provide a well-rounded and active day for students. We also hold a swimming carnival at the beginning of each year and an athletics carnival in the middle of the year, held at Kerryn McCann Athletics Track.
“Our family has been part of LPPS for 6 years. The supportive staff create a fun, encouraging environment, and have been especially caring and accommodating to our younger son’s needs, boosting his confidence. The principal is highly experienced and is a real leader of our school community, valuing connection and collaboration with parents. We’ve loved watching our kids enjoy and learn at LPPS.” — Kate O, parent of Lindsay Park Public School.
